Here is a brief summary of the kind of service we provide at latemore design.
For a very full description of our service and fees, plus the process of building design, please look at our brochure.
latemore design is a building design practice.
so what is a building designer? download our pdf - what is a building designer?, where we answer that!
in short though, we design buildings, and document. this entails in the beginning, discussions with you, and site visit. after you engage our services, we measure (if a reno) and model the existing building and site. if a new building, we model just the site. then the fun begins, where we create a sketch design and develop it. at each juncture we issue you with pdf drawings so you can see it coming together. we often give you a 3D file you can open on a free viewer. the drawings might be detailed further for a DA. after all this, we launch into .working. drawings, which builders need.
our drawings are fairly intense, and very appreciated by those who need to use them. this includes lots of other building professionals who we liaise on your behalf. such as surveyor, town planner, multiple engineers, certifier and energy assessor.
we also can provide a lot more, if you desire it, such as interiors, fittings selection and supervision.
we use Revit Architecture, a full 3D modeller. so you can visualise your building from the beginning and as we develop the design. it also is our CAD platform, and as we endeavour to model the building quite fully, the documentation is even more thorough.
our fees are similar to the average rates as listed by BDAQ, illustrated by this chart. for more detail look at our brochure.
